Kasganj (UP), Jan 30 (ANI): A man named Akram, a resident of Lakhimpur, was brutally thrashed by a mob of 100 to 150 laden with sticks and gun during the violence when he was on his way in his car with his maid to meet his pregnant wife in the hospital. Some people from the mob, however, rescued him from the violence, said the victim. “I forgive everybody for this incident”, he added. Kaganj violence broke out on Republic Day when two groups started pelting stones during Tiranga Yatra carried out by youths on motorbike. Chandan Gupta was killed by a gun shot during the violence. Police on Tuesday conducted raids in the district to check law and order situation in the district and arrested five people in relation with the violence.
