Gujarat, Dec 12 (ANI): With just two days away for the second phase of Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017, the extensive campaigning led by the two political giants, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress came to an end on Tuesday. The last day saw some new inclusion to the political drama in the country, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelling in India’s first ever seaplane to war of words between UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. Here’s a glimpse of the last day of campaigning for Gujarat Polls. PM Modi chose a unique mode of transportation after his road show in Ahmedabad was cancelled. He was seen travelling in a seaplane from Sabarmati river to Dharoi dam while waving at his supporters. Meanwhile, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi visited Ahmedabad’s Jagannath Temple to seek blessing after being elected as party president on Monday. After boarding a seaplane and covering a road distance of around 50km, PM Modi reached Ambaji Temple and paid his obeisance at the temple and participated in meritorious rituals. In the meantime, Rahul Gandhi also finally gave reply to all the criticism faced due to his recent temple visits in Gujarat. While addressing the medipersons, Gandhi said wherever he gets opportunity, he visits temples and also shared about his visit to Kedarnath Temple. Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said Gujarat polls taught Gandhi to visit temples. Countering Adityanath’s remark, Gandhi said he has visited many temples in many states, including Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, and asked why the BJP criticised him over his visit to a temple in Gujarat. The second phase of the polls will be taking place across 93 constituencies on December 14. With both parties claiming evident win, only the results will decide whether the BJP or the Congress will rule in Gujarat for the next five years.
