New Delhi, July 03 (ANI): The major milestone in the bilateral ties between India-Israel relations took place on 9 September 2003, when the then former prime minister of Israeli Ariel Sharon visited India. The Israeli PM was accorded the guard of honour in the presence of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During the visit, many exchanges took place, the visit paved way for a slew of defence deals, notable among them the Phalcon early-warning radar system. Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel, Israel’s foreign ministry hinted that many surprises could unfold during the visit.
