Mandya/Bengaluru, Sep 22 (ANI): Protest against Supreme Court’s order to release water to downstream Tamil Nadu continues to cripple normal life in Karnataka. In its latest directive on Tuesday, the apex court asked the state to release 6,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu daily till September 27. Agitated protesters took to streets, raising slogans against the government, leaving Mandya and Bengaluru cities the most affected. Due to the agitation, traffic on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, an arterial road connecting both the states, was also badly hit. Several protesters were also detained in Bengaluru.
