New Delhi, July 17 (ANI): Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has been reportedly given police protection amid protests against his upcoming film ‘Indu Sarkar’ based on the emergency. The controversial movie has been facing the wrath of Congress Party ever since the trailer is out. As per reports, two policemen have been assigned to protect him during the day and two will be at duty in the night. The Congress has objected to the film, saying that it may have portrayed Indira Gandhi and her son Sanjay Gandhi in a bad light. Recently, the makers of ‘Indu Sarkar’ were forced to call off their promotional events in Nagpur and Pune after alleged protests by Congress workers. In another incident, protests were held outside the Central Board of Film Certication (CBFC) office by Congress. It was reported that Mumbai Youth Congress has demanded a ban on ‘Indu Sarkar’. Starring Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles, the film is scheduled to release on 28 July.
