विश्व कप 2023 का 41वां मैच न्यूजीलैंड बनाम श्रीलंका खेला जाना है. ये मुकाबला बेंगलुरु के एम चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियम में दोपहर दो बजे से खेला जाएगा. न्यूजीलैंड की टीम विश्व कप में चार मैच जीतकर और लगातार चार मुकाबला हारकर आ रही है. विश्व कप 2023 में न्यूजीलैंड की शुरुआत अच्छी थी. टीम ने शुरुआती चार मुकाबलों में जीत दर्ज की. जिसके बाद पांचवें मुकाबलें में टीम को भारत के खिलाफ हार का सामना करना पड़ा. जिसके बाद न्यूजीलैंड लगातार अपने चार मुकाबले हार गई. न्यूजीलैंड टीम का अंतिम मुकाबला श्रीलंका के साथ है. श्रीलंकाई टीम विश्व कप से बाहर हो गई है. न्यूजीलैंड की टीम अपना ये मुकाबला जीतकर सेमीफाइनल में जगह पक्की करना चाहेगी. शुक्रवार को बेंगलुरु में बारिश का अनुमान है. अगर श्रीलंका के खिलाफ मैच बारिश की भेंट चढ़ जाता है तो उन्हें सिर्फ एक अंक से ही संतोष करना पड़ेगा. ऐसे में सेमीफाइनल में जगह बनाने के लिए पाकिस्तान और अफगानिस्तान को बस अपने मैच जीतने की जरूरत है. फिर बेहतर नेट रन रेट वाली टीम आगे जाएगी. पाकिस्तान का रन रेट पहले से ही अफगानिस्तान से काफी बेहतर है.
