झारखंड के पहले गृहमंत्री व उपमुख्यमंत्री रहे आजसू प्रमुख सुदेश महतो शुक्रवार को ‘प्रभात खबर संवाद’ कार्यक्रम में पहुंचे. महतो ने 32 के खतियान व पिछड़ों के आरक्षण के मुद्दे पर राज्य सरकार पर सवाल उठाये, तो इसके लिए आगे का रास्ता भी बताया है. आजसू प्रमुख महतो ने कुड़मी को एसटी का दर्जा दिये जाने के मामले से लेकर जातीय जनगणना को लेकर बेबाकी से अपनी बातें रखीं. उन्होंने कहा कि यह तो कुड़मी का हक है. एसटी का दर्जा कुड़मियों को आजादी के पहले से मिला हुआ था. कुड़मी 1913 के गजट में आदिम जनजाति की सूची में शामिल थे. इसमें कुरमी व कुड़मी शामिल थे. 1931 में भी यह भारत सरकार के गजट में थे. 1951 में यह गजट से गायब हो गये. इसके पीछे कोई तर्क नहीं था. यह कुड़मियों की जायज लड़ाई है. यह छूटे हुए लोग हैं, इनको जोड़ने की पहल है. कुछ अजजा जो किसी कारणवश एसटी से बाहर हो गये थे. उन्हें शामिल किया जा रहा है.
AJSU chief Sudesh Mahto, who was the first Home Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand, reached the ‘Prabhat Khabar Samvad’ program on Friday. When Mahato raised questions on the state government on the issue of 32 quota and reservation for backward castes, he also told the way forward for this. AJSU chief Mahato kept his words from the matter of giving ST status to Kudmi to caste census. He said that this is the right of Kudmi. ST status was given to Kudmis before independence. The Kudmis were included in the list of primitive tribes in the Gazette of 1913. Kurmi and Kudmi were included in this. Even in 1931, it was in the Gazette of the Government of India. It disappeared from the gazette in 1951. There was no logic behind it. This is a fair fight of Kudmis. These are the left out people, it is an initiative to connect them. Some STs who were out of ST due to some reason. They are being included.
