New Delhi, June 30 (ANI): Welcoming the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST) from July 1, President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on the introduction of a single tax for the 130 crore people in the country. Calling the GST a disruptive change, President Pranab Mukherjee tonight said the ambitious central tax is a "tribute" to the maturity and wisdom of India’s democracy, as he recalled steps taken during his own tenure as Finance Minister on this key reform measure.
