Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir), July 10 (ANI): Amarnath Cave is believed to be an abode of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati, and is thus considered as one of the most pious site among the Hindus. Every year a pilgrimage to this holy site takes place in the month of July, which is believed to instil the purification of one’s mind. As Amarnath Shrine is located at an altitude of 3,888 m, pilgrims have to go through a long journey and thus for their facility several community kitchens are also organised throughout the way. Though it’s an annual practice, but this time it became more unique as Muslims in Balinallah area of Udhampur district gave their land for this noble cause. After the Muslims donated their land for community Kitchen, work is going on in full swing in the region. People are all set to welcome the pilgrims and provide their services to them. The Hindu community of the region really appreciated this generous act of Muslims and laid their focus on strengthening brotherhood.
