Despite the fact that market is facing price hike, instead of buying Chinese Rakhis, people are in favour of buying Indian-made rakhis that are expensive. Giving details one of the shopkeepers said that the tension between India and China is the reason behind decrease in demand of Chinese rakhis. As per the Hindu calendar, Rakhi usually falls on the full moon day or Purnima of the Shravan month and this year it will be celebrated on August 7. On this auspicious day, sisters tie thread to their brother for their protection.
