Mumbai, Sep 29 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced Rs. 5 lakh each for the families of victims killed in Elphinstone Railway Station’s foot over bridge stampede. Maharashtra Minister Vinod Tawde said 35 people were admitted in the hospital, 5 injured are in the ICU. At least 22 people were killed and over 35 were left injured in a stampede at the Elphinstone Railway Station’s foot over bridge in Mumbai on Friday. Reports suggest that heavy rains triggered the stampede. A NDRF team also reached the spot for rescue operation.
