Amritsar/Ludhiana/New Delhi, Oct 08 (ANI): Women across parts of the nation who observed Karva Chauth, ended their day-long fast after moonrise on Sunday night. Union External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj also ended her fast along with some other women at her residence in the national capital. Minister Swaraj was all dressed in Indian attire and adorned traditional jewellery. On this auspicious day, married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands. The festival falls on the fourth day after the full moon, in the Hindu lunisolar calendar month of Kartik.
