Jharia (Jharkhand), Oct 22 (ANI): The death of a rickshaw puller in Jharkhand’s Jharia, shocked everyone from the district administration to the local leaders. This was because the reason given for the death was hunger and poverty, as told by his family. 40 years old Baidnath was the sole bread earner of his family. For a long time, he was running across government offices to make his ration card. Unavailibility of ration card created a crisis of foodgrain at home, which led to the man’s death. Recently, the starvation death of a minor girl in Simdega district drew mass criticism over government policies, after the girl’s family was denied ration from the PDS shop as they failed to provide the Aadhaar number.
