New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman spoke about the impact of demonetisation and stated that the move eliminated the flow of funds for terrorist activities. Sitharaman said the stone pelting incidents have reduced in Kashmir valley, as the terrorists are running short of funds, leaving them with no option than to rob banks. When asked to comment on the recent revelation of Sonia Gandhi’s letter to former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram in 2004, to ensure that financers of Tehelka publication were not given "unfair" or "unjust" treatment, Sitharaman said “Its no longer surprising to know that remote control operations were clearly running the government of that day.”
