New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): Delhi Transport Minister, Kailash Gahlot on Friday said that the odd-even scheme which was to be implemented from 13th to 17th November to combat severe air pollution in Delhi has been called off for now. The decision by the Delhi government came after National Green Tribunal (NGT) asked the government to give no exemptions to two-wheelers and women drivers in the scheme. “Keeping in mind the availability of buses and women security we are calling off the odd-even scheme”, said the Transport Minister. However, Delhi government will once again try to convince NGT court to exempt women drivers and two-wheelers from odd-even scheme.
