Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 1 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party proved to be triumphant in Uttar Pradesh civic polls elections by winning 12 seats and leading in two. The BJP workers celebrated their victory by bursting crackers outside BJP office in Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated all the winning candidates. In a major setback to the grand old party, Amethi Nagar Gram Panchayat, which is considered to be a bastion of Congress and constituency of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, was won by BJP. Taking a dig at Congress Vice President, Yogi Adityanath said Rahul Gandhi was unable to save Congress’ seat in Amethi and he should think about his political future. Polling was held in 16 nagar nigams, 198 nagar palika parishads and 438 nagar panchayats.
