Shirdi/Guwahati/Siliguri , Jan 01 (ANI): Temples across the nation received major footfall on the first day of 2018 as devotees flocked to religious spots to seek blessings. Devotees offered prayers on the first day of the New Year at Anandamayee Kalibari in Siliguri of West Bengal on Monday. Situated in the foothills of Darjeeling, the temple was erected to worship goddess Kali in the year 1926. The famous Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi too had huge gathering on New Year. Shirdi Sai Baba Temple was constructed on the Samadhi of Shri Sai Baba. Hundreds of devotees from Guwahati and neighboring cities visited Kamakhya Temple to seek blessings. Kamakhya Temple is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas: Kali, Tara, Sodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamala.
