Muzaffarnagar (UP), Jan 22 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Government has sought details on 13 points from the Law Department in the cases registered against BJP MLAs for their alleged involvement in inciting violence that triggered Muzaffarnagar riots in 2013. Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Umesh Malik said that the cases filed by the ruling government at that time were fake and baseless. He had written a letter to UP Law Minister to withdraw the case after investigation, he added. Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan, MP Bhartendu Singh, MLA Umesh Malik are few among the BJP leaders against whom the cases have been registered. At least 63 people were killed and more than 40, 000 people were displaced in the deadly riots that broke out in August 2013.
