Varanasi (UP), Feb 28 (ANI): Devotees celebrated Holi with pyre ashes at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi. People celebrate the festival by using ash from cremation pyres and throwing it at each other and smearing it on each other’s faces. As per beliefs the tradition of the festival started when ‘Shiva’ the Hindu god of destruction played ‘Holi’ with pyre ashes with his aides to celebrate the return of his wife ‘Parvati’.
