Dantewada (Chhattisgarh), Mar 12 (ANI): The third phase of ‘Lok Suraj Abhiyaan’ started in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district on Monday. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh arrived in the district and inspected development programs there. Earlier on Sunday, the Chhattisgarh CM visited Bandatola village in Kanker District under 1st phase of ‘Lok Suraj Abhiyaan’ where he gave polio drops to children and reviewed the development work. Government claims ‘Lok Suraj Abhiyaan’ is one of the largest “social audit exercises” in the country. ‘Lok Suraj Abhiyaan’ which was started in 2005, involves government officials visiting each gram panchayat to collect suggestions and listening to local-level problems. This is followed by a problem-solving exercise with the Chief Minister and other ministers visiting different parts of the state.
