Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 19 (ANI): Ambedkar statue was razed at Bachhawal village in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh. Last night some miscreants pelted stones over the statue and destroyed it. The incident has been reported to the authorities. The Police are investigating the case. This is another incident in a series of statue vandalisation row, which started after some BJP supporters allegedly turned down Vladimir Lenin’s statue after it defeated the CPI (M) in Tripura assembly elections, earlier this month. The union home ministry had then directed the state governments to take strong action in such cases.
