Barmer (Rajasthan), Apr 02 (ANI): Protests turned violent in Rajasthan’s Barmer over Supreme Court’s ruling on SCST protection act. Protestors set ablaze cars and damaged property. Bharat Bandh was called against Supreme Court’s order against alleged dilution of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Act. The apex court, on March 20, had made a ruling stating that in a case under Atrocities Act preliminary inquiry by the DSP is required before the arrest to ensure allegations are not frivolous.
