Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Apr 15 (ANI): To provide livelihood to people in Dehradun’s Mothrowala village, 26-year-old Divya Rawat uses innovative methods of mushroom cultivation. She uses bamboo racks instead of iron and aluminum racks and grows a variety of mushrooms according to the weather. She said, “We produce 12 tonnes of mushroom spawns every month. The spawns are packed in one kg packet and sold to buyers in the quantity they ask for as each and every farmer is important to us. It is sold at Rs. 100/kg.” She also said that she has opened a workshop to train people in mushroom farming which is then sold by her organisation Soumya Foods. It also gives guidance and other assistance. It was started in 2013 and the spawn laboratory has been established recently.
