Bengaluru, May 15 (ANI): The trends show that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in Karnataka state assembly elections 2018 on Tuesday. The BJP workers were seen celebrating the lead ahead of the final results. The state elections were held on May 12 in 222 out of 224 assembly constituencies in 58,546 polling stations in the state. A total of 2,654 candidates, including 216 women candidates are in the fray for the assembly elections this year. The elections in Karnataka are being viewed by the BJP as its gateway into the South.
