New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed his condolence to the families of the deceased, who died after a under construction flyover collapsed near Cantt railway station in Varanasi on Tuesday. Over 12 people died and several labourers feared trapped under the debris. The Prime Minister started his speech at the BJP headquarters by expressing his condolence to the deceased families and then expressed his joy of getting huge mandate in Karnataka elections. "I am happy about #Karnataka’s victory but on the other hand, I am saddened by the loss of lives in Varanasi. I extend my condolences to the families of the deceased and assure that the government will do whatever it can to support these families," PM Modi. Five NDRF teams (250 jawans) with full equipments have rushed to the spot. Compensation of Rs 5 lakh was announced by the state government for the families of the deceased. The reason behind the collapse is yet to be ascertained.
