Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), May 15 (ANI): The eye-witnesses, who witnessed the dreadful incident of under construction flyover, which collapsed and claimed 12 lives, shared that the rescue team came for help after an hour. "I was at a distance of 50 m from the flyover when it collapsed, trapping people under it. 4 four-wheelers, an auto-rickshaw and a minibus were crushed by it. The help came after an hour," an eye-witness said. Over 12 people dead and several labourers feared trapped after a portion of an under construction flyover collapsed near Cantt railway station in Varanasi on Tuesday. Rescue operation is currently underway. Five NDRF (250 jawans) teams with full equipments were rushed to the spot. Compensation of Rs 5 lakh will be given to the families of those who died. The reason behind the collapse is yet to be ascertained.
