Ahmedabad (Gujarat), May 25 (ANI): As heat wave gripped over the parts of the country, crossing 40-degree Celsius mark in different states and cities, Gujarat witnessed a maximum temperature of 45.7- degree Celsius on Thursday. Surendranagar was the hottest place on Thursday, recording a maximum temperature of 45.7 degree Celsius. Deesa was at 45.2 while Ahmedabad, Idar and Kandla airport registered maximum temperatures of 44-degree Celsius, the Indian Meteorological Department stated. There are no chances of rainfall for next few days and heat wave alert was issued for Gujarat, by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
