Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), Jun 12 (ANI): Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) activists held a protest outside the office of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in UP’s Aligarh on Tuesday. The protest was against the alleged callous attitude of the police regarding a recent incident in which a Dalit activist of HJM was involved in a fatal attack. The activists were irked by the fact that police officials removed Section 307 (attempt to murder) from the official report. The activists gathered outside the SSP’s office to protest about the same. After the SSP did not come out to hear the plea of the protestors, the protestors got agitated and locked the stations gates. This led to a scuffle between the police and protestors. The police then resorted to baton charge, which left many protestors injured.
