Ranchi (Jharkhand), Jul 05 (ANI): Amid strict security arrangements, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and other opposition parties of the state called for a shutdown across the state on Thursday against the amendments in the Land Acquisition Bill 2013. The protest turned violent in Ranchi. The party workers and others were seen holding protests with flags and banners on the streets against amendments to the bill. The schools, colleges and shops in the state remained closed following the bandh in the state. Visuals coming from Ranchi showed that traders have kept their shutters down and heavy security deployed all around.
