Naxals indoctrinate kids after failing to lure tribesmen

Ranchi( Jharkhand), July 23(ANI): After failing at bringing tribesmen in their baseless movement against the government, Naxalites have resorted to abduction and indoctrination of children in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, who are later made to join the anti-establishment squad. The children in ‘Child Squad’ or ‘Baal Dasta’ are schooled in handling arms and are brainwashed with anti-government and subversive thoughts, turning them into a potential threat to the society and the nation. Irrespective of gender, children are trained in performing easier tasks, from delivering messages to detonating Improvised Explosive Devices and planting landmines and bombs.Armed with rifles and receivers, these youngsters trudge through the jungles and provide information regarding movement of security forces to their Naxal heads. The Naxal tactics to side children in joining their movement against the government are being countered effectively by the security forces.
