Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Jul 23 (ANI): A college student was allegedly beaten up by police for refusing to pay bribe in Chennai. The student narrated his experience to ANI. “I was with my friends coming from someplace when we were stopped by a police official in a routine check-up when the incident happened,” said the student. “The police refused to give receipt for the fine and was asking for bribe which I denied. I was then, assaulted brutally by the police officials”, he added. The boy started pleading the police to leave him after he realised that he has to talk his way out of the situation.
