Idukki/Wayanad (Kerala), Aug 11 (ANI): Incessant rain continued to lash parts of Kerala, killing at least 29 people in the last 72 hours. A torrential rain that struck the southern state of Kerala had triggered a series of landslides and caused heavy floods in Idukki and Wayanad district, leaving a trail of destruction across the state. The incessant rains caused rivers in the region to swell, urging the authorities to open the shutters of as many as 22 dams. Five shutters of Idukki dam were opened on August 10. The water level of the dam, reported early morning today, is 2401.16 feet with its full reserve level being 2403 feet.
