Latehar (Jharkhand), Sep 08 (ANI): Situation in Latehar district of Jharkhand is fraught with peril as the Naxals, who have virtually lost the battle of ideologies, are using devious means including forcefully inducting innocent children into their cadres to keep their presence alive. Villagers are terrorized by their oppressive and violent style of operation in this area. Their modus operandi includes collecting illegal taxes from villagers for the produce they make on their small pieces of land, threatening and beating tribals on not getting them and eventually inducting their children into their cadres. They have ramped up their diabolical acts in the recent times, especially after villagers have started embracing the governmental projects in order to improve their lives that was only deteriorating under the illegal administration of Naxals.Indoctrinating children with anti-development and anti-establishment venom has been the decades-long agenda of Naxals.While the first rung Naxal leaders wallow in luxury, children of poor tribals are used as cannon fodder to attack the security forces, carry out vandalism and other violent activities on unarmed poor people. Naxals, who fear irrelevance in near future owing to multi-pronged sustained efforts of government, have executed multiple heinous acts in the past at the pretext of fighting for tribals. However, using children as shields will go down as the most reprehensible act of immorality in the books of history.
