Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 15 (ANI): The Kumbh Mela commenced today which will be the first bathing day. Millions of people from across the world are taking part in Kumbh Mela, but it is the different akhadas which steal the show with the pomp and pageantry. Hindu saints and seers will go to participate in the Shahi Snan in Kumbh Mela. Different akhadas like- Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara, Shri Panchayati Akhara Niranjani and Shree Shambhu Panchayati Atal Akhada are participating in this event. Considered an integral part of the Kumbh Mela, ‘akhadas’ set up at the venue virtually to steal the show. Each akhada follows similar religious customs, views and ideologies, which specialise in both scriptures and armaments. Mahashivratri on March 4 will mark the last bathing day.
