New Delhi, feb 1 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar reached at the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for his medical review and checkup on Thursday night. Parrikar was supposed to undergo follow-up treatment earlier but the same had got delayed due to the inauguration of Atal Setu (third bridge on River Mandovi) and the Goa Assembly session. The ‘Atal Setu’, a cable-stayed bridge, was inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on January 27 in the presence of Goa CM Parrikar. 63-year-old Parrikar has been suffering from a pancreatic ailment, which was diagnosed in February 2018. After being discharged from the AIIMS in October last year, Parrikar has been recuperating at his home at Dona Paula near Panaji. He has been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, Delhi and New York since then. On Wednesday while presenting the state budget for 2019-2020, he made a brief speech from his chair, even as he was strapped with medical paraphernalia.
