Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Feb 02 (ANI): IPS officer of 1983 batch of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Rishi Kumar Shukla was appointed as new Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) chief today. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved his appointment for a period of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the office. His appointment comes a day after a meeting of committee led by PM Modi. The top post of CBI was vacant after special committee led by PM Modi ousted former chief Alok Verma on charges of bribery.
