Wagah Border, Punjab, Dec 27 (ANI): The 220 fishermen, released by Pakistan in a goodwill gesture, reached Amritsar through their main land border crossing of Wagah Border. Pakistan had earlier released them on Sunday in a bid to ease tensions with its neighbour. The fishermen who were arrested more than a year ago, are accused of entering Pakistani waters in an area of the Arabian Sea where the border is unclear. Ranjit, one of the freed fishermen, hoped that more his ilk will be released soon. Some of them echoed a sense of desperation. The Pakistani officials had said on Sunday that the other 219 fishermen will be released on January 5.
