Special prayers offered in Sukreswar Temple on Magh Bihu

Guwahati, Jan 14 (ANI): As Makar Sankranti is being celebrated across the nation with much devotion, Guwahati woke up to devotees celebrating its harvest festival Magh Bihu. Devotees were seen offering prayers at the Sukreswar Temple on this auspicious occasion. On Magh Bihu, people seek the blessings of elders and later throw pithas (rice cakes) and betel nuts in the fire, offer prayers and celebrate the good harvest.
