Coimbatore, Jan 14 (ANI): The people across South India are celebrating the harvest festival of Pongal with great zeal and fervor. In Tamil Nadu, the people celebrate their harvest of rice and other cereals, sugar-cane and turmeric and pray for good harvest in the coming years. The people worships local Gods and offers sugarcane and observes fast among other forms of celebrations.
