Watch: Over 1,000 people gather to clean oil spill

Chennai, Feb 02 (ANI): The operation to clean the oil spill on Chennai shores and beaches is undergoing at a full pace. More than 1,000 people are engaged in the cleaning process and around 45 metric ton of oil sludge has been removed till now. The spill caused by the collision of two cargo ships on Saturday is leading to a huge threat to the marine life in the area and has resulted to the death of large number of fish and turtles near Ernarvur beach.
