Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir), April 07 (ANI): At least 17 people were rescued by the army after they were hit by a flash flood in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district yesterday. The trapped people were rescued by a helicopter. The people were imprisoned as the water level in the River rose due to incessant rainfall. The Poonch River has a history of recurring flash floods which devastates life and property of the localites.
