PM Modi pays homage to Paika freedom fighters, says their sacrifice shouldn't be forgotten

Bhubaneshwar (Odisha), Apr 16 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid homage to the Paika Rebellion fighters who in 1817 had sacrificed their lives for the Indian freedom struggle. PM Modi said that their sacrifices should not be forgotten and everyone in India should take their life as a blessing. He further requested everyone to respect these great leaders who had sacrificed their life to get India its independence. He also mentioned about the various government schemes which has been launched to meet the needs of their kin.
